What should I look for in a professional resume writer?
Keep these three essentials in mind:
1. The Owner
Ensure that you deal directly with the company owner. Many businesses use an owner’s name or profile to attract clients, then outsource the work to unknown ghostwriters. For the best results and value, partner one-on-one with the person whose expertise you’re paying for.
2. Employment Background
Consider the writer’s professional history. Would you prefer to work with someone with minimal recruiting exposure — or with someone who has managed staffing agencies, led national and international searches for Fortune 500 companies, and regularly liaised with hiring executives? The answer is clear.
3. Certification
Look for credentials from respected associations such as PARW/CC and Career Directors International (CDI). Certification establishes a baseline standard and helps distinguish qualified professionals from hobbyists. From there, focus on the writer’s depth of expertise, real-world recruiting experience, and strategic insight.
Do you make clients fill out forms or worksheets?
No. I don’t use long questionnaires. My background in professional consulting means I gather all relevant information through a focused consultation. You’re hiring me to lead the process — and I take full responsibility for delivering the finished product.
Can you guarantee employment results?
No legitimate writer can make that guarantee. Hiring outcomes depend on many factors, such as internal candidates, market trends, salary fit, and employer preference. What’s your typical turnaround time?
Delivery is usually within five business days, depending on my schedule. I also provide a rush option (when available) with a two-business-day turnaround following our consultation.
Do you work evenings or weekends only?
No. Resume writing and career consulting are my full-time profession.

No refunds are issued after the consultation call. As an independent professional, my time and expertise are my livelihood. However, I remain committed to revisions and strategy discussions for two weeks after delivering your resume.
